I’m sharing with a saddened heart that I lost my father on
Friday July 21, 2017. He suffered a major heart attack. I would hope that
anyone reading this can say the same about their dad, “My Dad was the Best”.
He was eighty-five years old. Most people would expect an eighty-five year
old man to be relaxing at home watching tv, taking it easy. Being a retired
builder, and a man that loved his craft, he would rather being be out working,
Friday, he had just finished a small project for a customer
of 45 years. A couple who started out as customers and had the pleasure of
becoming best friends.
Many of my Dad’s
customers became his friends. That’s the kind of man he was.
When I say doing a project for a customer, no
money was going to change hands, you don’t charge your best friends when
helping them with a project he would say. That’s the kind of man he was.
Standing over him in the hospital my mom said through her
tears, “He said it wanted to die with his work boots on and he did”.
That’s the kind of man he was.
Your loving son, Jim
We are hoping to re-open the shop on Wednesday July 26th.
